Lions Club Helps Canteen

Black and white newspaper clipping with photo and description. "The Lions club at Britton sponsored a USO-Red Cross canteen day asking members of the American Legion auxiliary to act as hostesses. Contributions brought in by the club from the community amounted to $126.05. Hostesses were, front row, left to right, Mesdames C. W. McNeil, A. K. Fehlman, T. F. G. Foss, and R. G. Fortner. Back row, Betty McNeil, Dorothy McNab, H. W. King, A. C. Monroe and L. V. McLaughlin. Cpl. George Curtin of Boston was en route to a new station following an emergency furlough when he stopped at the canteen."
